4,815 people embrace Islam in Kuwait in 2012
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18, 2013
A total of 4,815 people of different nationalities embraced Islam in 2012 through a campaign launched by the Islamic Presentation Committee (IPC) under the slogan, ‘Preaching is the Responsibility of every Muslim’, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting IPC Chairperson Abdulaziz Al-Dajeej.
Al-Dajeej attributed the tremendous success of the campaign to the committee’s commitment to reach out to all segments of the society and encourage them to participate in the program. He asserted all those who converted to Islam have done so on their own free will. He said the committee spreads Islam by using various modern means of communication. He also urged all those with benevolent hearts to continue granting financial support to the committee.
Disclosing that more than 100 preachers of different nationalities participated in the campaign, Al-Dajeej said over 18 IPC branches in Kuwait coordinated their efforts to encourage more people to embrace Islam.
